Tasks: Overview
Tasks are the most common Timeline element in Dado. They are used to assign actions for the Participant or other Supporting Actors.
Tasks can include Content Blocks and Sub-tasks. You can use Target Audiences to deliver different content to different people based on their profiles.
To create a new Task click or drag anywhere on the Timeline and select "Task" from the options. The Task Editor will appear.
The Task Editor has 3 sections:
- Left side: in this section, define settings that relate to the Task as a whole, for example who receives it, at what time and how often they are to be reminded. For detailed information about each field, see the article Tasks: Task Settings
- Middle: a preview of the Task email and Reminders that participants will receive.
- Right side: this section shows you the different kinds of Content Blocks and Sub-tasks you can use to customize your Task. To add these, simply drag and drop them into the Task preview body. For more details about each type of Content and Sub-tasks, see the articles Content Blocks and Tasks: Sub-tasks.
Important: Every Task must have at least one Sub-task. That is, one action that the recipient has to perform.
