Introducing Birthday Experiences

Being recognized on your birthday is a great way to improve an employee's sense of belonging, but can be challenging for an HR team. Sending birthday greetings is now a task that you can automate in Dado.
How to set up a birthday experience
- Make sure Dado has data about employees’ date of birth. You can sync this data to the default ‘Date of birth” field from your HRIS or another data source.
- When Dado has Date of birth data, it will automatically keep track of the date of the employee's next birthday, in the "Next birthday date" field

When creating your birthday experience, use the ‘participants next birthday’ as the enrollment milestone.

Depending on who you want to inform of the employee's birthday, you can adjust the start date. For example, start the experience a few days before the birthday, so you can send the employee's manager advance warning.

Tips for a great birthday experience
- Create a fun message for the birthday person celebrating their milestone. Pro tip: revisit this message each year to avoid an employee receiving the same email twice as employees will automatically re-enroll into this experience each year.
- Add a reminder a week or so beforehand to the employee's manager, so they can prepare a gift, card or just good wishes on the day.
