Troubleshooting SwagUp Sub-Tasks
There are a couple of circumstances in which Participants will encounter issues preventing them from successfully ordering swag via a SwagUp Sub-task. These issues are not problems within the Dado system; they originate in the SwagUp account connected to Dado – for instance, items could be out of stock.
This article explains the cause of each issue, what is seen by Participants, and (where relevant) how the issue is communicated to Admins.
Size unavailable for the selected item
When a Participant selects a combination of item and size that is out of stock, they will see the following message:
Unfortunately this size is unavailable right now. Please choose from the available sizes for this item ( [availableSizes] ), or check other items to see if your desired size is available.
The sizes that are in stock for this item are inserted into this message to replace [availableSizes].
The Participant cannot complete the Sub-task without ordering a different size or different item.
Item out of stock
When a Participant selects an item that's completely out of stock, they will see the following message:
Unfortunately this item is out of stock - please choose something else or get in touch with [your SwagUp contact].
[your SwagUp contact] will be replaced by the contact details of the person you selected as the contact, when setting up the Sub-task.
The Participant cannot complete the Sub-task without ordering a different item.
Insufficient credit in your SwagUp Account
When a Participant attempts to order an item whose cost exceeds the remaining credit on your SwagUp account, they do not see an error message. The Sub-task will be marked completed when they click the 'Submit' button.
In the background, however, this order will not be submitted to SwagUp. Instead, Dado will send an email to the person selected as the contact when setting up the Sub-task. This email will include the user's full order details, so you can manually process this order after topping up your credit.
