Automations: Asana
Contents
Pre-requisites for using Asana Automations
To use Asana Actions in Automations, you should first connect your Asana account to Dado under Organization → Integrations.
Once that's complete, the Asana options will appear on the Actions list of the Automation Builder.
'Create Ticket' Action
The "Create Ticket" Action is useful for automatically creating a ticket in Asana using data from Dado.
Remember: you can use Target Audiences to create different Asana tickets for different types of Participants. For instance, you could request different software licenses and systems access depending on a Participant's department.
After dragging the Action to the main area, fill in the following information to activate:
- Workspace: The Asana workspace where the ticket will be created. This is usually your organization or team.
- Project: The Asana project where the ticket will be created. Note the Asana account you connected to Dado must have access to the project in which you want to create a ticket. Granting access should be done directly in Asana.
- Task Name: The name of the task as it will appear in Asana. You can use variables to, for instance, insert the participant's name or start date.
- Assignee: You can assign the ticket directly to specific users.
- Due: the due date for the task. It's always counted from the moment the task is created in Asana.
- Notes: the main text of the task. You can use variables to, for instance, insert the participant's name or start date.
- Collaborators: these are additional "Assignees" in Asana.
Once everything is set up, simply save and you're done! Now every time a participant goes through the experience, the automation will run and create the associated ticket directly in Asana.
