How to impersonate an employee, to see their Dado Tasks and Messages
The Individual Experience window (accessible from the Participants table and the Drilldown report) shows you the key details about the Tasks, Messages and Automations in someone’s Experience, e.g. when they were sent and their status. But this window will not show you exactly what that employee (or any of their Supporting Actors) sees when they access Dado.
Impersonating the employee enables you to see their real Experience Hub, the page where they see their Tasks and Messages. Here you can see the full content of Tasks and Messages sent to them, and see their responses.
When you impersonate an employee, you’re accessing their real Experience Hub. If you complete a Task, e.g. by clicking a button or link, this Task really completes, as if they had completed it themselves. A yellow banner at the top of the page reminds you who you’re impersonating.
If you complete a Task accidentally, you can uncomplete it in the Individual Experience window.
To impersonate people in a particular Experience, start on the Experience page, in view mode. Scroll down to the Participants section and click your test Participant.
In the Individual Experience window that opens, click the Impersonate dropdown in the top right. It lists the roles involved in this Experience (for example Participant, Manager, Buddy and IT Team).
Select the role you want to impersonate and their Experience Hub will open in a new tab..
You can browse their Inbox, including Overdue tasks, To do tasks and Messages, and open any item to see its full content. These are the real Experience Hub pages, so you can even complete Tasks from these pages.
To share the page with the person you’re impersonating, click Get a link to share with their name in the yellow banner. This gives you a shareable link that does not include the banner.
